A different kind
of instinct.

JINYA YAMAKAWA is JOKER’s brand director and the founder of JESSO CREATIVES. Raised in Hawaii, he began his career in international motorsport before studying Fine Art at Parsons School of Design in New York, graduating in 2020. His practice spans painting, spatial projects and collaborations.

Where the boundaries dissolve.

In his ongoing MELTDOWN theme, figures and backgrounds flow into one another. Reality, memory and emotion share the same surface, leaving room for each viewer to find a different reading.

「MELTDOWN」は、主題と背景、記憶と現実の境界を溶かしていく。見る人それぞれの解釈を受け入れる絵画。

A solo exhibition at the Bentley UAE showroom, created with Arcadia by Amna and Bentley UAE. New paintings entered a space shared with cars and a Japanese garden installation by JESSO artist Hiromi Inoue.

JINYA YAMAKAWA joined JOKER in the creation of REVENANT. Under the project name ECHOES, vehicle craft, contemporary art and floral installation meet around a one-of-one car. JOKER’s fabrication and wrapping carry JINYA YAMAKAWA’s artwork, with flowers by Tatsuki Inoue bringing another living material into the conversation.

REVENANT brings Porsche and Mazda traditions together. Its purpose reaches beyond speed: a machine made to be seen, felt and remembered. The project was shown at Peaches. Garage in Tokyo in March 2026.

JOKERのREVENANT制作に、JINYA YAMAKAWAがアートで参加。車両製作とラッピング、現代美術、井上樹によるフラワーアートが交わる「共鳴 — ECHOES」。速さだけではなく、見る人の感情と記憶に届く一台を、ともにつくる。
